We care about your health and safety! Please read the following precautions we are taking to keep our clients and employees safe.

SCHEDULING:

  • We recommend scheduling future appointments online or via phone to limit length of time spent inside the salon. We require a 24-hour advance notification if you are unable to keep your appointment. Appointments canceled without 24-hour notice will be charged the full amount of the services.

ARRIVAL:

  • Please call 913.839.3888 upon arrival and wait in your car or outside at a safe distance until the appointment time. We will text or call you when your service provider is ready for the appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will be unable to honor your appointment and it will need to be rescheduled.

  • We require that you wear a mask to your appointment and we ask that it secures behind the ears for hair appointments. We will also have some masks available for you.

  • Please arrive alone and do not bring children. Only people with scheduled appointments will be allowed, and only one appointment per provider will be allowed at a time.

  • Magazines and beverages have been removed from the waiting areas; however, water and soda are available upon request. Please do not bring any food into the salon.

  • Please limit your belongings to necessary items such as phone and method of payment.

  • Upon entering Jules & Zoa, you will be asked to clean your hands with sanitizer. We have disposable gloves if you want or need them.

  • You will be required to sign a waiver releasing Jules & Zoa from any liability pertaining to your personal health. We will take your temperature and log it accordingly You will be asked to wash/sanitize your hands again before the start of your appointment.

SERVICE:

  • Social distancing guidelines will be in place throughout all areas of the salon. The color processing table is temporarily closed.  Clean, sanitized smocks and towels will be used for each client.

 

CHECK-OUT/RETAIL:

  • It is our goal to have touchless transactions available upon check out. Credit card, check, cash and electronic payment such as Venmo are allowed. When browsing our retail area, please only touch what you intend to purchase. At the very least, please wash and sanitize (or wear gloves) before handling product. All testers have been temporarily removed from our retail area. If you know what you need to purchase ahead of time, please let us know and we will have it ready for you upon check-out. Feel free to call and put credit on your account for future services.

 

SANITATION and PREVENTION:
As a high-touch industry of licensed professionals, we are governed by the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology to mitigate the spread of disease and uphold the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness.

To ensure the health and well-being of our clients, staff, their families and the community at large, we have added the following enhancements to existing practices in order to mitigate the risk of COVID-19.

  • Practice social distancing…cutting chairs are already placed 6 feet apart.

  • Salon maximum occupancy during this time is 8 people.

  • Several times throughout the day and before and after hours, we will sanitize all administrative, public and private areas of the salon. All shampoo bowls, shampoo chairs and station chairs will be sanitized after each use.

  • All of our service providers have been recently retrained and recertified by industry leader Barbicide.

  • Clean and disposable capes, neck strips and towels are used for every service.

  • Every station will be supplied with alcohol spray, barbicide sterilizer, tissue boxes and hand sanitizer.

  • Service providers will wash their hands after every application.

  • Our entire space has been treated with an antimicrobial spray, What Duh Fog!, a hospital-grade disinfectant that kills a broad spectrum of 99.999% of disease-causing bacteria and viruses. What Duh Fog! company is scheduled to clean, disinfect and fog the entire salon and boutique every 8 weeks.
